My friends know very well that I can’t stay at home for long and a lot of them already knew that I would leave Italy again! LOL
To be honest I thought for real to stay here and move to Milan..I wanted to rent a room (or better my own flat!) and find a job in a PR and marketing agency! I have also prepared the resume but when I started to send my candidatures I realised that it would be quite difficult to find a job. Not because I don’t have the right skills or the attitude, but because I don’t have a lot of experience and at the same time I’m not in my twenties anymore.. And that means I’m “too old” to start now. Because in Italy the job market is different.
In Australia I had the feeling that you can change your career.. even if you’re “already 31”! The mentality there is different and the fact that you want to change can also be a plus, something more to add on your behalf rather than something that can put you down.
When I was in Sydney I studied marketing and I did some interesting internships but because of my student visa, I wasn’t allowed to work full time. This fact hit me a lot, I knew that I could do that job but because of a document my dreams were “broken”.
From there my decision to move to London!
I want to find my career, I want to work in digital marketing, in the events and everything connected! And this is the right moment to do that!
I can work full time and for now I won’t need any visa! (From next year maybe, thank you Brexit! )
And believe me, this is such a relief feeling especially after years where I was struggling with my visa situation.
Now it’s time to change and think 100% about my career!! I’m ready!
That’s it for now!
Stay tuned because I will keep you updated about my new adventures in UK!
